Every other year, Company of Muses, in association with Brattleboro School of Dance, produces a semi-professional production of the Nutcracker Ballet featuring BSD students, faculty, and alumni alongside professional dancers. This production is open to participation from the public, and dancers from any school are welcome to audition and participate. Auditions are held in September with performances in December. Rehearsals are always held outside of class time so that students don’t miss valuable technique training while preparing for a performance. We are very grateful for the many dance scholarships that are made possible by this and other fundraising efforts by Company of Muses!

We are over-the-moon-excited to be performing the classic holiday ballet The Nutcracker at Landmark College Theater in Putney, VT this winter! Performances will be on December 20, 21, and 22.

Dancers aged 7 & up are encouraged to audition for this wonderful show! We also encourage experienced and professional ballet dancers to audition, as we will be casting lead and supporting roles en (and off) pointe!

Auditions:
Saturday, September 28th, 2:00-4:30pm.
2:00-3:00 – Children aged 6-12.
3:00-3:45 – Adults for party scene and character roles.
3:45-4:30 – Intermediate/Adv. Ballet & Character Dance (Teens and Adults)
4:30-5:00 – Pointe dancers

Auditions will be held at Brattleboro School of Dance: 22 High Street, 3rd floor.
