Due to the winter weather advisory and poor driving conditions, classes on Saturday January 16th are cancelled.  Students in Saturday classes in the Fall 2015 semester will receive a make-up class to be used in the month of January.  Make-ups are transferable to immediate family members living in the same household.

Auditions for the 2016 Burklyn Ballet Theatre Programs will be held at BSD on Friday, January 8th, at 4:45pm for intermediate level, and at 5:45pm for advanced level. Intermediate Level dancers are invited to take the ballet winter mini-term while the regular fall semester classes are on break.  Each class is $15 for a drop-in (even the two hour classes) or purchase the whole set of 5 classes for $60.  (If you miss a class you can do a make-up in intermediate modern on Tuesday, December 29th, 4:30-6:00pm)

We are pleased to announce that The Nutcracker, presented by Company of Muses in association with Brattleboro School of Dance, will be performed at the New England Youth Theatre, Friday 12/18 and Saturday 12/19 at 7:00pm, and Sunday 12/20 at 1:00pm & 5:00pm!

Tickets are now available online (please follow the image link below), and will be available in-person at the studio Saturday, 12/12 from 11:00am-2:00pm, and at New England Youth Theatre on Monday, 12/14 from 5:30-7:00pm.

Children ages 6 – 12 can enjoy a fun evening dance games and activities at Brattleboro School of Dance on Saturday, November 21st, from 5:30 – 9:30pm! Dance experience or enrollment at BSD is not required for participation.

Due to instructor absence, Children’s Jazz on Monday, 11/9 is cancelled, and enrolled students will be awarded a free class credit in lieu of a scheduled make-up.
Zumba class is also cancelled tonight, 11/9.

Due to instructor absence, Beginning Modern is cancelled for Saturday, October 17th, and a make-up has been scheduled for November 28th.  (Please note that this is during the studio’s fall vacation week.)

Brattleboro School of Dance will be holding open auditions for The Nutcracker Ballet to be performed this December 18, 19 and 20 at New England Youth Theater.  The auditions will be held from 2-4pm for any interested dancer ages 7 and up (also 6 year olds enrolled in Children’s Ballet 1 at BSD) at the studios at 22 High Street, Brattleboro, Vermont 05301.

Dancers do not need to be enrolled at Brattleboro School of Dance, but dancers who are currently enrolled in class at BSD will have the $40 performance fee waived.  Please arrive early to have time to warm-up and fill out a schedule availability form.  You may call (802) 254-6884 for more information.

Friday, September 4th from 5-8 pm and Saturday, September 5th from 10am – 2pm Brattleboro School of Dance is holding its in-person registration at the studio on 22 High Street on the 3rd floor.  Come register and purchase dance wear for your fall classes which begin Tuesday, September 8th!
