Due to a family emergency, Jane LoMonaco will be unable to teach her Toddler’s Dance, Creative Dance 3-4, Multi-level Pilates (4:30) or Beginning Pilates (5:30) on Monday January 19th.  She will reschedule a make-up day of classes for Monday February 16th (during our February class break).  If you are unable to make the make-up class on February 16th, please feel free to take a make-up class any time during the Spring term of classes (make-ups are transferable to an immediate family member within the household).  We’re sorry for the inconvenience.  If you have not already registered for these classes, but were intending to tomorrow, you can call Brattleboro School of Dance at (802) 254-6884 to register by phone.

The Spring 2015 Term Scholarship Application Deadline is January 2, 2015.  Please download & print your application here, and send the completed application with copies of tax forms and/or additional proof of income (if necessary) to Brattleboro School of Dance, 22 High Street, Brattleboro, Vermont 05301 c/o Scholarship Committee.  The committee will be meeting in early January to award scholarships for the Spring term beginning January 19th.  Spring registration begins January 12th.

During the Brattleboro School of Dance holiday break, BSD will offer a mini-term of intermediate ballet classes during the usual Intermediate Ballet time slots.

MEET THE SUGAR PLUM FAIRY!

Brattleboro School of Dance in association with its fundraising organization, Company of Muses, is happy to invite you to “Meet the Sugar Plum Fairy and Friends” on Sunday December 21st from 2:45-3:30 at New England Youth Theater. Travel with your passport to the different countries of the Nutcracker Ballet. The Sugar Plum Fairy, the Dewdrop ballerina from Waltz of the Flowers, the Snow Queen, and the Kissy Doll will stamp your passport and autograph a keepsake photo for your. You may even meet the Nutcracker Prince or the Rat King! This event has a suggested donation of $5 for the keepsake photo and supplies are limited so reservations are recommended. You do not need to have Nutcracker tickets to attend. All are welcome. For more information visit BrattleboroSchoolofDance.com. Brattleboro School of Dance classes are on break from December 15th through January 4th.  Classes resume Monday January 5th for the final two weeks of the fall semester.

Zumba is still happening Mondays at 6pm (except 12/15) and Saturdays at 9am.

Robin will be holding tap classes Wednesday December 17th, but will not be holding classes January 7th or 14th.

Nan will hold make-up Creative Dance classes Saturday January 3rd for the 12/13 cancellation.

Due to instructor absence, both Nan’s Creative Dance 3-4 and Creative Dance 5-6 classes are cancelled December 13th. Make-up classes for each have been scheduled at their respective times for January 3rd.
(Please note that January 3rd is the last Saturday of our winter holiday break, which begins December 15th.)

There are no classes November 24th – November 30th due to the holiday break except for the make-up classes listed below, and Zumba on Monday and Saturday.

Open Auditions for “The Nutcracker” are this Sunday, September 28th at 4pm at Brattleboro School of Dance. Anyone wishing to dance who is 7 years of age or older, or attends Children’s Ballet I at BSD is welcome. Please arrive early to fill out paperwork. The paperwork is available at BSD for those who want it in advance. Performances are at NEYT Dec 19, 20 and 21.

It’s pre-season and some of you may want to keep dancing before the fall semester officially starts. Rachel Hebert is offering a 5-class Intermediate Ballet series on Tuesdays, Saturdays and one Thursday. We’re offering a discounted rate for this busy time of year. Drop-ins are the tuition rate of $12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and $14 on Saturdays. Or sign up for the whole series for $55.
