There will be an Intermediate Ballet class this Saturday, September 3rd from 10am-12pm taught by Mucuy Bolles.  Although this is not part of the summer or the fall semester, we will be charging all students the tuition rate of $15 for this 2 hour drop-in class.  You do not need to be registered for the summer session or this upcoming fall session to take advantage of this tuition rate.  Mucuy will continue teaching Saturdays this fall (which begins September 10th for Saturday classes) at which time you can register for the 15 week semester or an 8 week half semester to receive the tuition rate, or drop-in at the single class rate.

It’s here!  The moment you’ve all been waiting for.  The fall 2016 class schedule is up on the website.  Follow this link and scroll down to see the class list arranged by age level and difficulty.  You can also find a PDF of the schedule to download that has the teachers and studios listed.  We will be kicking off registration at our Open House Saturday, August 27th from 11am-3pm and continuing with in-person registration on Sunday, August 28th from 12-2pm and Friday, September 2nd from 5-8pm during gallery walk!  Online registration will be coming soon.

This year, Brattleboro School of Dance is offering an August Dance Intensive for Intermediate and Advanced level teen and adult ballet and modern dancers.  This is a great way to get back in shape before school starts again.  The class schedule is similar to our June/July schedule with two morning classes 9:00-10:30am and 10:45am-12:15pm.  There is no additional pointe class, but students are encourage to take some of the ballet classes on pointe.  The 10 class intensive costs $140.  Students can purchase a 5 class card (which expires at the end of the week) for $80.  Single class drop-ins are $20.  See the specific schedule of styles and teachers in the link below.

Due to instructor absence, there will be no Multi-Level Pilates class this Tuesday, 7/19, and no Embodyoga/Pilates class this Thursday morning, 7/21. Pilates classes will resume the following week.

In honor of Independence Day, there are no scheduled classes (including ZUMBA and Intensives) at BSD on Monday, July 4th. Enjoy the holiday and stay safe!

The work on the Harmony parking lot retaining wall is finished and Green Street extension is now open to through traffic. The back handicap accessible entrance to Brattleboro School of Dance is now available for use again by pedestrians. You can once again drop your kids off at the back door and keep driving through to High Street. Thank you Renaud Brothers Construction and the Town of Brattleboro for the beautiful work. And thank you BSD community for your patience.

Tickets are now on sale for the BSD Spring Dance Concert, For You…With Love, being performed at New England Youth Theater May 20-22.  Friday and Saturday evening performances at 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday matinee performances at 2:00pm.  Tickets are $18 for adults, and $15 for seniors and children under 12.  You can purchase your tickets at BSD on Saturdays from 10am-12pm or online by clicking this link.
